I’ve only worn my Yushu bottom and top a few times but and I'm very pleases with how they perform. They are much warmer than I was expecting. The real test will be how they hold up during the next year. Most of the merino wool products I have purchased in the past have tended to not be durable and start to break down within the first year of use which is why I have tended to gravitate to synthetic base layers that don’t have that issue.
My son bought me this jacket. He's a great fan of Kora clothes and I can see why. It's a great jacket , so warm and comfortable to wear, and such a flattering shape . Very practical and stylish at the same time. I love it!
This is my 6th Kora product - all of them superior quality.
The Yushu bottoms is a very nice and comfy base layer under my gore-text shells on lightweight trekking and cross-country skiing; they also ensure I can sit still for hours on wildlife monitoring tasks at temperatures around the freezing point . I love them and they will be on top of the packing list for future trips.
The Yushu Bottoms fit is slightly large so if you (like me) have measurements "between sizes" definitely go for the smaller options (I'm 1.84 m tall, 75 kg, long legs - size L fits perfect).
I had to swap my originally ordered size XL to a size L, and the customer services at Kora were very responsive and helpful.
Excellent, but the required products are not available on the site, for example Bottom
Built for biking, but this works well for standup paddle boarding when cool/cold also. When doing hard intensity workouts it is not too hot, and keeps you warm on the cardio base work and easy parts of the workout. I like the thumb holes when not cold enough for gloves. While not a replacement for wet/dry suits when real cold, it will still provide insulation when wet, better than most materials, and it works under wet/dry suits too.
I find myself wearing it at my desk on cold days too, it is perfect.
