Neema

Lightweight Base Layers and Activewear

Neema is truly for all four seasons. Drawing on yak wool’s uniquely versatile nature, we have designed Neema as a collection of body-fit summer activewear or as lightweight base layers for year-round activities. With a super-soft, luxurious feel, you’ll find yourself reaching for a Neema as a standalone top for a summer hike, and again in the winter under Stratam or Yardang wool mid layers.

We wanted to build the unique properties of yak wool into a lighter weight collection, bringing its unrivalled comfort to your everyday adventures.

After years of research and development we arrived at an intimate blend of 20% yak wool with 40% merino and 40% recycled Coolmax® Eco - the latter is a high performance fibre with excellent wicking and quick dry properties.

Fabric composition: 40% Superfine Merino, 40% Coolmax Polyester, 20% Premium Yak Wool

Stratam

Technical mid layers for everyday adventures

Created to layer over our base layer collections, Stratam has been designed for warmth and comfort and offers exceptional breathability and moisture management.

The Hima-Layer™ Stratam fabric is made with a combination of two yarns. On the inside the 100% yak wool yarn knitted in a terry loop construction traps air for warmth and provides excellent wicking properties. On the outside, we’ve used biodegradable DuPont™ Sorona®, a biopolymer yarn made from corn starch to create a smooth surface offering further protection from the elements.

Tested in the polar regions and in mountain ranges around the world, the Stratam Collection is proven in extreme conditions, but its versatility and understated elegance make it perfect for everyday use, running errands or post workout.

Fabric composition: 56% Premium Yak Wool, 42% DuPont™ Sorona®, 2% Elastane.

Yardang

Lightweight supercharged merino mid layers

Yak wool has exceptional properties highly suitable to having fun outdoors, so we have supercharged it with a known favourite: merino.

Merino and yak are the perfect partners. Merino is a natural fibre, is easy to spin, knit and dye into beautiful colours.

What is most exciting to us is that these traits together increase our scope to be ever more creative to bring the secret benefits of yak wool to adventurers great and small the world over.

Fabric composition: 70% Superfine Merino, 30% Premium Yak Wool

Yushu

Our next-generation base layers

We bring you our next generation of base layer fabric that takes the best of yak and combines it with another wool, merino. Complex environmental factors affect the yaks that supply us on the frontline, making it harder for the Tibetan nomads to supply us with the wool that we need.

The result is a fabric that is super-soft next to the skin, that provides yak wool’s exceptional Himalayan-born warmth and has merino’s added resilience for improved durability.

Our Hima-Layer™ Yushu fabric is knitted with 60% premium yak wool with 40% superfine merino and weighs 240gsm.

All styles come in black and feature panels of corespun merino textile (a nylon yarn wrapped in merino) to increase durability in high-wear areas such as the crotch and the under-arm. All seams are crafted with overlock and triple step zig-zag stitching ensuring a completely flat yet ultra-strong finish.

Each item is finished at the cuff with a section of woven tape inspired by the colours of the Himalayan prayer flags, making your Yushu unique to you.
